This is naturally occurring salt crystal from the foothills of the Himalayas. The salt is collected from mines 800m below the ground. Himalayan salt release negative ions that neutralise harmful positive ions in the atmosphere, this creates a much happier environment. They are believed to help with allergies and breathing problems due to their air cleansing properties. It is a good idea to keep a salt item close when using electrical equipment which emits positive ions.

It is recommended that you place your salt tealight holder on a protective base if you plan to have it on furniture or decorative surfaces. It is also recommended that salt products are not kept in high humidity environments like conservatories or basements.
