Sage Essential Oil is derived from a small evergreen shrubby perennial herb.
It is very useful in menopause for hot flushes. Place a few drops in a sink of cool water, swirl around, place a clean flannel in the water, wring out and then place on the forehead or back of the neck.
It is widely used as a cleanser. Often used in blends for space clearing.
When burned or vaporised Sage is thought to help calm the nerves . Sage is a very potent oil and should be diluted to a maximum of 1% before application to the skin.
NB: Consult a professional aromatherapist if you take meds or are pregnant.
Method of Use:
Massage: Mix up to 2 drops in total with other essential oils for massage, Making the blend a total of 6 drops diluted into a carrier oil of your choice. In all cases, less is more.
Diffuser/oil burner: 4-5 drops in TOTAL with other essential oils.
Bath: Can be mixed with other essential oils, never exceed MORE than 6 drops in total for the oil blend. Add the oils to an egg cup of full fat milk to disperse in the bath water.
